In accordance with the statute and action program, they have been detailed as follows:
PROMOTION OF SELF-GOVERNANCE AND DEMOCRATIC VALUES AND POLITICAL COOPERATION AT VARIOUS LEVELS AND AREAS
- Dissemination of the idea of local and regional self-governance and supporting its development domestically and internationally;
- Supporting interregional foreign cooperation, especially cross-border cooperation of municipalities and counties;
- Participation in international and EU activities;
- Expert, advisory, opinion-forming, publishing, informational, and promotional activities of democratic and European values;
- Taking care of the shape and culture of the EU's relations with the self-government environment, science, business, and residents;
- Implementation and protection of the common interests of the Association members and their promotion within and outside the European Union;
- Representing the interests of the Association members at the national and international forum;
- Promoting the achievements of the Association and its members.
