D-EFFECT- CIVIC SOCIETY DEMOCRACY LESSONS, BRINGING A YOUTH PERSPECTIVE IN THE EU POLICYMAKING AT ALL LEVELS IN LINE WITH YOUTH STRATEGY 2022-2027.

Developed from the seed money project CATALYST. This is a strategic project regarding youth initiatives and represents a future hallmark of youth activities.

Project activities are aimed at promoting democracy, democratic values among youth, and building civic participation.

The project's goal is to permanently strengthen social organizations and their ability to collaborate with local public administrations in the South Baltic countries (especially those operating in small towns) and to develop a civil society that values social diversity, equal treatment, and dialogue.

Outcomes:

  • International youth festivals in our municipalities organized by youth in cooperation with local authorities.
  • International trips.
  • Youth education: courses and workshops.
  • Meetings with youth from other countries.

Culmination: The culmination of the work involves conducting and organizing annual local democracy festivals in a cross-border context, executed and organized by youth.

Main Theme: Civic participation and youth engagement based on testing the method of cross-border Democracy Festivals (2) in local municipalities.

Type of Activities: Soft activities – funding for youth festivals.
