Meeting of the Youth Council of the Euroregion Baltic EGTC

On March 17, a meeting of the Euroregion Baltic Youth Board was held in Kalmar.

During the meeting, the young people worked on their activities and on strengthening cooperation in the Baltic Sea region

The meeting took place as part of the parallel events accompanying the General Assembly of the Euroregion Baltic EGTC and was dedicated to current activities and future directions for cooperation

Tekla Björkun from Kalmar County was elected as the new President of the Euroregion Baltic Youth Board, and Dawid Jędrzejewski, representing STG ERB, was elected as Vice President. Artur Frajny, a representative of our Association, is also a member of the Youth Council. He actively supports both international and local initiatives aimed at fostering cooperation and youth engagement.

Discussions during the session focused on democratic and demographic challenges, emphasizing the role of young people in shaping the region’s future

A key moment of the meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement within the #DEffect project between the ERB Youth Council and the Association of Polish Municipalities of the Baltic Euroregion

The meeting confirmed the growing role of young people within the structures of the Baltic Euroregion EGTC and their tangible impact on international activities
