YDF Evaluation

D-Effect Toolbox

The organisation of social, educational, and cultural events requires not only careful planning and effective implementation but also a systematic evaluation of their processes and outcomes. The evaluation process makes it possible to identify the strengths of an initiative, determine areas that require improvement, and draw conclusions that can contribute to enhancing the quality of future activities. This is particularly important in the case of initiatives involving young people and local communities, where achieving the intended objectives is closely linked to building lasting relationships and developing participants’ skills and competences.

This document serves as an ex-post evaluation tool based on the CBYDF (Cross-Border Youth Democracy Festival) methodology and instruments applied within the framework of the D-EFFECT project. Its purpose is to collect information regarding the organisation, implementation, and outcomes of the festival, as well as to assess the level of involvement of various stakeholder groups, particularly young people. The collected data will support an analysis of the effectiveness of the solutions applied and provide an assessment of their practical value in the context of local social and educational initiatives.

The document covers issues related to the nature of the event, the profile of participants, the extent of youth involvement in the organisational process, and a summary of the main activities and achievements. An important element of the evaluation is also a reflection on the experiences gained during the implementation of the event, including the identification of factors that contributed to its success and the challenges encountered along the way. This approach enables a better understanding of the organisational process and an assessment of the impact of the methods used on both the implementation and reception of the festival.

The information gathered through this evaluation constitutes a valuable source of knowledge for both the event organisers and the partners of the D-EFFECT project. The conclusions drawn from the analysis may be used to further develop the CBYDF methodology, adapt it to the needs of different local contexts, and support the planning of future initiatives that engage young people and local communities. In this way, the evaluation process serves not only as a summary of completed activities but also as a tool for supporting the development of future projects and strengthening their positive social impact.
