How to compete for "Baltic Pearls of Culture 2025"
The Baltic Sea Cultural Centre, in collaboration with the Marshal's Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, warmly invites everyone interested to an event titled "Culture: The Strength of Local Communities! 'Baltic Pearls of Culture' for Social Resilience and Stronger Cities."
The event is under the patronage of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
Location: Gdańsk, Baltic Sea Cultural Centre, Old Town Hall, ul. Korzenna 33/35
Date and Time: May 10, 2024 (Friday), from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Admission: Free; registration via a form is required.
During the event, the organizers will discuss how to use culture, in the broadest sense, to build strong communities that are prepared for challenges, how to activate residents and utilize their social energy and skills, and how to enhance the strengths of the places where we live.
They will also explain how to apply for the title of Baltic Pearl of Culture 2025, awarded as part of the "Baltic Pearls of Culture - For Socially Resilient Cities and Regions" project, co-organized by Interreg Baltic Sea Region.
Polish cities and municipalities, especially smaller ones located away from larger centers, are invited to attend the event and apply for the title. The winning city will have opportunities for international promotion, study visits, and connections with other cities in the Baltic Sea region. Additional benefits include potential financial support of up to 5,000 euros for cultural activities submitted to the competition.
