STG ERB Board Meeting
On 17 May a meeting of the Board of the Association of Polish Communes Euroregion Baltic was held. During the meeting, the activities of the hitherto STG ERB bodies in 2022 and early 2023 were summarised, financial, administrative and organisational matters and promotional activities of the Association were discussed.
By a resolution of the Board, the Stawiguda Municipality was entered into the ranks of ordinary members of the STG ERB.
The new member of the Association is a commune located in the central part of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, attractive for tourism due to its natural conditions, proximity to lakes, forests, rivers, with a low level of environmental pollution, with areas of protected landscape. It is keen to develop the region and participate in projects as a member of the Association of Polish Communes Euroregion Baltic.
The Board members also received information on the status of implementation of externally funded projects and external cooperation.
The Association's project activities implemented in 2022 and planned activities for 2023-2024 include:
- 7 projects in which STG ERB is a partner with its own budget,
- 6 projects submitted under the Interreg South Baltic Seed Money programme, of which 5 have received funding, while 1 is prepared for resubmission in the next competition,
- 5 projects submitted to the Interreg South Baltic regular call; the results of this call will be announced in June this year and 4 applications submitted to the Interreg Baltic Sea Region regular call, with the results of the call to be announced in July/August this year,
- 2 projects submitted to the Interreg Central Europe regular call, with results to be announced later this year.
This was the fourth meeting of the Board members this year to plan further activities of the Secretariat and to coordinate cooperation with local government units, during which 5 resolutions were adopted. The work of the Audit Committee, which took place on 8 April 2022, was also discussed and gave a positive assessment of the Board's work.
