“Streets for the Youth” participatory workshops

On April 20, a participatory workshop was held as part of the “Streets for the Youth” project, focusing on the topic of shaping urban spaces with the participation of young people and representatives of public administration.

During the meeting, participants worked on issues related to the functioning of cities, the accessibility of public spaces, and the inclusion of young people in decision-making processes concerning their environment. The workshop utilized a 9-step method, which allowed participants to progress through the successive stages of problem analysis and solution development—from identifying challenges, through analyzing user needs, to formulating proposals for action.

Another key element was working with personas and analyzing the city from the perspective of different user groups. This enabled a better understanding of residents’ diverse needs and translating them into concrete solutions for public spaces.

The workshops were participatory in nature and created a space for dialogue between young people and the administration. Working together demonstrated the importance of co-decision-making regarding the city and the role of young people in shaping its future.
